The housing that needs to be built is not of interest to these developers. How can population increases be expected when the people already here are not able to find housing. Encouraging housing in forested land is clearly not an option given the forest fire issues. Finding the water and other resources for a growing population is problematic. Actually giving over some farmland from growing grasses and hay may not be a bad idea.
