That's irony: misusing the Bible....

The Bible has been corrupted since its inception, either by brushstroke or deliberately by men (not women) with agendas. Irenaeus is the one who proposed the NT and his NT was confirmed hundreds of years later by the bishops who were told by Constantin in no uncertain terms to 'quit fighting, get on with it' and make decisions about what books to include in the NT. They hastily agreed on Irenaeus's NT. King James I was gay and he wrote anti-gay into the NT. The masses didn't read or write back then, so they believed what they were told (brainwashing). King Henry VIII changed the ending to the Lord's Prayer.

Why would someone, a professor of Christianity in the Deep South, turn away from Christianity? He went to evangelist Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College, and Princeton for a PhD. He became an atheist because of truths he learned from scholars and scientists. He's now an agnostic ("show me"). Bart Ehrman-it's a household name.

The brainwashing that came out of Rome (Constantinople, actually) and overtook the thinking of the uneducated masses is akin to MAGA; rural folk, with no college or higher education in most cases, who thought they were voting for MAGA. They listen to one radio station and do not get the big picture, like the ancient masses who could not read or write.

Research non-biased, authenticated writings and break the chain of brainwashing abuse.

Brainwashing is the only excuse I can think of as to why someone would support a MAGA president who relies on a henchman like Stephen Miller (the one who designed the action to separate parents and children at the border a few years back; he's another anti-Christ in our current gov't).

Research scholars who dig into early documents (Christian, Roman, Jewish, Greek) and literally, archaeological sites. God and Jesus will be there still. The truth will set you free.

PS: Bart Ehrman used to do the same thing as the woman mentioned in the first paragraph in this week's column. He did the ritual twice for the same issue and got a conflicting outcome. His conclusion: "the Bible is unstable and unreliable" (a direct quote).

And why is David so surprised about the Christian slaveholder? Religious people are among the most cruel, biased people. Our sect is going to heaven and everyone else is going to hell. White supremacists want to put women back in the kitchen, Blacks on the fields and 90% of non-criminal immigrants and naturalized citizens in an alligator-laden Florida swamp prison, and he allowed children to be separated from their parents at the border.
