Question like...

-Will the Oregon democrat party be returning the half million dollars donated by the corrupt/fraud crypto firm FTX? US tax money goes to Ukraine in the form of aid for the Russian proxy war, Ukraine invests the money in FTX, and FTX makes millions of dollars in donations to dems, and some R's. Ukrainian money laundering. Just one of the reasons we should have nothing to do with that country.

How much of the FTX money went to the Kotek campaign?

Did her campaign or the Oregon Dem party have a back door channel to twitter or any other social media to suppress her opponents free speech or their platforms?

If we had journalists left in this country she would not be able to hide from questions like these.

Seems like the governor-elect spoke to a solid group of people that are dealing with real issues in our communities. I’m glad that Ms Kotek got some face time with people that know the subject matter.

BigfootLives, your suggested topics just barely scratch the surface. We need these visits to be public, not hidden and private. I remember seeing similar articles when other politicians had been here but only after the fact. They are afraid of nay-sayers. Is the News-Register covering for them?

Let’s see...Kotek met with the mayor of Mac, the Yamhill county health & safety director, Head Start, Mac Community development, YCCO and the CEO of Virginia Garcia clinic and their staffs.....do you think she just dropped in on them?
Just because YOU didn’t know, doesn’t make the visit “ hidden & private”.

I feel it is important to get the facts straight. The vast majority of the aid that has been sent to Ukraine has been in equipment, not cash. Much of the gear we have sent to Ukraine has been or will be out of service with their respective branch of service soon.

I find it really strange why anyone would wish for our nation to sit back while one of our nation's long standing adversaries bulldozes a nation and gains land and power in Europe. I am open to hearing an argument but I have never heard a reasonable one.

Maybe Kotek should have also been given a tour of the local businesses and homes vandalized by the homeless? It's a real problem here and everywhere. This should be one of her priorities.

Cubsfan, she has stated her top two priorities are the homeless crisis and education. I think she gets it.
