GOP legislators disavow Republican Party resolution on U.S. Capitol riot

Oregon state representatives Ron Noble of McMinnville and Mike Nearman of Independence – both representing portions of Yamhill County – joined all 23 Oregon Republican state representatives last week in disavowing a resolution approved by the Oregon State Republican Party, according to a Friday story by Oregon Public Broadcasting.

“Republicans in the Oregon House on Wednesday,” reported OPB, “took the extraordinary step of distancing themselves from their state party, after party officials passed a resolution labeling the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol a “‘false flag’ operation.’”

According to OPB, the statement by GOP legislators said “there is no credible evidence to support false flag claims … The election is over. It is time to govern.”

The state party’s resolution, which received national attention in most major media, rebuked 10 Republicans in the House of Representatives who voted for impeachment of then-President Donald J. Trump.

The GOP party resolution drew national criticism for claiming there is “growing evidence that the violence at the Capitol was a ‘false flag’ operation designed to discredit President Trump, his supporters, and all conservative Republicans, (providing) the sham motivation to impeach President Trump in order to advance the Democrat goal of seizing total power, in a frightening parallel to the February 1933 burning of the German Reichstag.”

The complete Oregon Republican Party resolution was published in Friday’s News-Register, and is available at this link.

Kudos to Noble and Nearman. Maybe there is some small glimmer of hope and sanity within the Oregon Republican party. Still waiting to hear from our two Retrumplican County Commissioners on this. Will they distance themselves or continue to buy into and promote the crazy extremist conspiracies? Oh sorry, they're too busy trashing state government at every opportunity.........

There are many online articles supporting the possibility of such a false-flag attack, to the point where it is worth considering as true. Do your own DuckDuckGo search to find them.

“Many online articles” does not equal factual information!.....No one with credibility believes the assault on the capital was a “ false flag” operation.

Well, at least no one can complain that you didn't publish both sides of this. How odd that those who created the discord and violence would hide behind lies about it.
