More Linfield drama. Isn't it about time that the university and Davis part ways or are they going to let him utterly destroy this heralded institution?

Seems to me that when a coach who is already on a a disciplinary work plan, has a yelling match with his own fans during a game, it might warrant a change.

tagup,
To clarify, there has been nothing on record given to us that states Rosenberg was on a disciplinary work plan. As this story states, Rosenberg is disputing that allegation in his lawsuit.

Thanks for the clarification. Plan or no plan, a heated altercation during the game is a pretty big red flag!

tagup, if you follow previous articles on this story witnesses there do not describe the incident as a “heated exchange”. A player’s parent was heckling & even coming down on court and coach said if they had something to say they should talk after the game. I see you used an expressive photo for the article, however I suspect Rosenberg will quickly win a settlement. So many in the community support him, and on its face the firing looks extremely unfair.

Is he just hoping Linfield will cave in and throw him some money to make him go away? I beleive he oughta just man up, learn from whatever happened and move on to a new job.
I'm excited see the page turned. To see a new program, new coach and some great Linfield basketball this fall.

The core issue of this problem is the continued employment by Linfield of Davis! Race is not the issue, but competency, which Davis seems to lack, as well as integrity.

This is what happens at a small college when an AD and coach don't like each other. The mistake is to let them both stay after it becomes obvious they don't get along.

Miles Davis and the absentee board are destroying Linfield. Incompetent, narcissistic and capricious is a very dark triad.

I support Coach Rosenberg and I hope he wins his lawsuit against Linfield. It is obvious he was not treated fairly. Garry Killgore and Miles Davis should no longer be employed by Linfield, as they are both incompetent. They are destroying a wonderful institution.

I believe it's time for Coach Rosenburg to move on. Playing the victim is not a good look.

So joel, is that what you would do if you were in his shoes? Not taking sides because I don't know the facts, but if I felt I was wrongly terminated, I would not be walking away.

This is not about a coach needing to move on. This is about an administration that (President and Athletic Director) that do not tolerate those that don't share their opinions and that raise issues. Look at the number of faculty/staff changes. Coach Rosenberg is a successful coach who was systematically targeted by Killgore over the past few years. Killgore's approach to leadership is to assert complete control over coaches and staff, and he was given leeway to do so during Covid. There is much more to this story, and it surrounds the culture created by Davis and Killgore. Killgore will not be returning after leave. More to come.
