Fatal crash Thursday at Hwy 18 and Lafayette Hwy

At least one person died in a Thursday morning crash on Highway 18 near the intersection with Lafayette Highway.

The crash occurred about 9 a.m., and the highway was closed in both directions until about 1 p.m.

KGW reported that Oregon State Police confirmed that two vehicles were involved, and at least one person died.

No other information has been released by OSP, and News-Register requests for more details have not been returned.
