Yeah, Bubba's quite the guy, isn't he? I wonder how the Sheriff and the Deputies feel about him knowing he's endangering federal law enforcement by pulling that cowardly garbage on social media.

Yes, Sonda, it is true that American citizens do break the law, all the time. That is a great point, and another reason why we need the illegal aliens processed out by ICE so we have room in our jails. And yes, if they are in the country illegally, they are criminals.

If aliens have work authorizations, or are in the process of getting status, they are NOT in violation of the law. US citizens are also getting swept up in ICE actions for nothing more than brown skin or a Spanish last name.
ICE and their tactics are a bigger problem and more dangerous than most of the people they are rounding up. Just a reminder Big....they are all human beings that deserve respect!

Additionally, I think jail space isn’t really a problem, as Trump is pardoning convicted criminals at a record pace.

An offensive illogical “public comment” was not disputed in the 11/13 meeting and deserves some additional consideration. (No doubt Commissioner King IS “quite the guy.” He handles smug critics with grace and dignity.) I am grateful for his stand on protecting folks who are being denied constitutionally mandated due process. I respect his support for ALL residents of our county and do not believe that protecting people from illegal brutality equates to the pathetic “logic” that such resistance endangers formidable gangs of ICE agents. Heavily armed unidentifiable trump-sanctioned “officers” are rolling up in unmarked vehicles and terrorizing human beings – documented and undocumented, young and old alike. This is not about rounding up dangerous criminals – which is a valid goal – it is about meeting unconscionable quotas at any cost to our liberty and safety. Who are the offenders here? Who is ACTUALLY being victimized and endangered? There is every reason cruel un-American militarism must be met with peaceful lawful resistance. As he stands up for justice and decency, Bubba King continues to represent us in the best possible way.

p.s. Did anyone else note the hypocrisy of making accusations about Bubba’s “inappropriate” political stands from Starrett followed by lengthy full-throated support for petitioning in favor of HER political agenda? Her extreme unrepresentative influence and constant fear-mongering is an embarrassment. Her term can’t end soon enough!!
