County: 25 new cases of COVID over weekend

There have been 74 deaths in the county.

The Oregon Health Authority reported a decrease in the total number of vaccine doses being allocated statewide — 205,830 statewide, compared to 258,190 last week. The number includes Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. It listed just 2,000 total doses to Yamhill County for the week, although Health and Human Services Director Lindsey Manfrin said the OHA estimates do not always match the actual distribution numbers.

Manfrin said in her weekly press release she believes the county will receive about 1,700 doses and local medical clinics about 300.

According to the OHA, the county has administered at least one dose of vaccine to 33,734, as of Monday.

All Oregonians 18 and older become eligible for vaccines beginning April 19, but Manfrin noted that the county is still receiving far fewer doses per week than there are people who want them.
