So, is no one, other than Don Dix, concerned about the purchase of RB Rubber by the city? The financial implications include the $20,000 per month loan payments, the unknown cost of the consultant hired, the fact that the loan was obtained by the city's sewage treatment fund and the unknown value of the property. Anyone driving along Alpine can see that business isn't exactly booming there. Lastly, I wonder if there aren't some environmental issues associated with the property given it's history as a rubber recycler. Will pollution remediation be necessary?
