I am in agreement with the commissioners. 1) We are continuously told to shop local, but our city doesn’t seem to abide by that same suggestion. 2) DEI focuses on separation and differences instead of commonality. 3) instead of the vague “staff have asked for” why don’t you let the employees decide, all of them, if they want this “training”. 4) If you have an effective and fair Human Resources department that simply applies “common decency and kindness and understanding” and enforces existing rules and laws about discrimination, you don’t need an expensive and questionable training. There is no need to fork out thousands of dollars to someone who will give their ideas as an ‘expert’. Manfrin said in her own words, we don’t have a way to measure the success of these trainings. Lastly, I agree with commissioner Starrett, “I’m not comfortable approving a contract that disparages or diminishes any racial group or brings a presupposition about oppressors…”

Replace "a Congressman" with "YC HHS director Lindsey Manfrin."

Of all of the people that have come and gone over the years on the comments section, Moe is definitely the most vile. Brings only negative and disgusting opinions. Obviously does it for attention and he/she thinks they are the smartest person in any room they enter. I really hope they are just a brief contributor and find somewhere else to spew their inane thoughts.
