Carlton to swear in elected officials

Carlton City Council will swear in one new member and three re-elected incumbents during a work session on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The public session will start at 6 p.m. in the civic hall; a Zoom link is available.

Mayor Linda Watkins, who ran unopposed, will be sworn in, along with new council member Suzie Turrell and incumbents Kevin Skipper and Grant Erickson. They were elected in November.

In other business at the work session, Fire Chief Tim Jech will talk about fire safety in Carlton and burning within the city limits.
