Amity council to discuss city-owned house

The Amity City Council will hold a special session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, for routine new year business, such as electing a council president, appointing a budget officer, approving the budget calendar and closing a safety deposit box.

The council will also discuss the next steps for the 407 Trade St. property, a city owned home next to city hall.

At 6:30 p.m., the council will reconvene for a work session and discuss capital improvement projects, followed by an open forum and discussion for councilors and the mayor to provide updates on their focus areas. The focus areas include infrastructure, community engagement, public safety, parks, city services and finance.
