The DAR is ill-advised to construct little "libraries" instead of lending its efforts to the existing tax-supported public libraries in our County. My observation is that these Little Libraries turn into collections of tired, yellowed, picked-over and cast-off books often damaged by exposure to sun and weather. The existing public libraries could serve these needs with funding for "hold lockers" in various locations to deliver curated library books to residents who request them 24/7.

But I also wonder if there exists some specific book "agenda" or slant rooted in this organization's ideology. Check out their shameful reaction to opera singer Marian Anderson.
