May I just point out that not a single one of these fine individuals is "homeless".

We need our law enforcement officers to focus on behavior, not status, not income, and certainly not ethnicity or race. Every single one of these folks involved in this dangerous, violent, and very drunken public incident was "the right kind". And yet...

So he got so drunk at the Cabana Club that he stole food from someone? Do the police ever try to find how who served him and how much he drank? I think there is a rule about cutting people off, but does every bar follow that rule?

I was gonna stay quiet because I get tired of saying the same old things to the same old people, but I think leo might be new here.

Bear in mind that Nathan Scates was an off-duty security guard with an apparent firearms endorsement and a legal sidearm who, when confronted by a woman and two of her friends from whom he'd just stolen food, elected to fire multiple rounds into concrete because he was frightened of the woman and her cuss words.

This leads me to believe that, when similarly confronted by a bartender intent on cutting him off, Nathan would either pee his pants or shoot. Since I figure the odds at about fifty-fifty, prudent public safety would dictate just shooing him out the door and encouraging him to find a snack.

Oops.

Who grabs food off some stranger's plate? Gross.
