Y-C approves FFA trip

Advisor Nichole Spearman-Eskelsen said she planned to take 16 students, plus a set of adult chaperones.

The cost per person will run $1,200 to $1,500, she estimated. She said numerous fundraising events are scheduled.

In addition to attending the convention, the group will tour the Country Music Hall of Fame, Churchill Downs Museum, Kentucky Derby race track, Louisville Slugger Museum and the Muhammad Ali Multicultural Center.

The board approved release time for Spearman-Eskelsen and the hiring of a substitute while she is away.

The board will next meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday, June 10 in the district office.
