Thank you for your coverage of this effort to clarify the statutes governing activities and events at the wineries of Yamhill county.

Perhaps it is a matter of emphasis, but as a member of the working group I feel it is of the utmost importance to note for the record that the group was composed of equal parts : nine winery owners AND nine members of the county planning commission.

Thus, contrary to one comment in your report, "other interests" were very much at the table throughout the eight month process.

Commission members attended every meeting and contributed in many critical ways as voices of the Yamhill county community at large.

That is what makes the results of these discussion so powerful and important for the future of our county...and radically different than a group of winery people sitting around talking about what they want to see happen in the future.

But that fact seemed obscured in your reporting.

As winery owners we owe a debt of gratitude to those members of the community who stuck with the discussion and contributed important perspectives at every session. We thank you !
