In an era of questionable court decisions, this is absolutely the correct outcome.
Nice to see common sense victorious from time to time.

It's the right decision.
I've watched the video several times. I don't think Juventino should have been shot because he clearly didn't understand what the officer was yelling at him and didn't make any significant move towards the officer. That said, I also can't fault the officer for shooting in that incredibly charged and dangerous situation where in a split second everything could have changed. Had I been in that officers shoes I may have done the exact same thing. It was just an ugly, horrible thing for everyone involved. Dismissing the lawsuit is absolutely the right thing to do. I'm appalled that it was ever filed in the first place.

I drive by that 7-ll every day on my way to work and sometimes I look over at the scene and shudder. Just wondering where the dozens and dozens of bullets that were fired at Juvanetio and didn't hit him ended up (houses on the other side of the street etc) is a scary thought. Bad, bad situation all around.

Did I just agree with Denise on a topic? Wow, now that's a scary thought! :) Just kidding, Denise.

A gun being pointed at you is a universal language. You know what to do, even if you are from Pluto.

I agree.
When many uniformed government employees are screaming at you, with firearms pointed at you, while you hold a murder weapon, that’s a pretty universal language to drop the d**n weapon.
