Sheridan continues superintendent candidate interviews
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan School Board interviewed two superintendent candidates Tuesday, two more Wednesday and the final two will be interviewed at 4:30 p.m. today.
The district did not release the names of the individuals. Interviews are being held in executive session.
Following today's interviews, and with the help of an Oregon School Boards Association representative, two or three finalists will be identified. They are scheduled to be available for a community meet-and-greet either next Wednesday or Thursday. A place and time has not been determined.
Five of the six interviewees are from Oregon and the other is from Washington, according to District Business Manager DeAnn O'Neil. There is no one from the district being interviewed. Fifteen individuals originally applied.
A.J. Grauer is retiring as superintendent at the end of the current school year. The new superintendent will officially go to work July 1.
