I live two clocks from MHS. I’m tired of the cars, trucks, commercial vehicles that fly down the street. Doesn’t matter what time of the day or week it is, people are more concerned about being loud and heard than about the students or people who live on Evans Street. But even when my neighborhood is quiet, you can hear the racing on Adam’s, Baker, and 99W. ~ Whatever happened to the motorcycle policemen who would hang out in school zones and major thoroughfares?? I rarely see a police car unless they’re going to an accident or scene of a crime. We need more police funding so our people and our streets are safe again. . . and consideration of others in our city is just as important, if not more

There were 158 unsheltered in this 2024 survey. And 182 in a "limited" 2023 count. A couple of questions: 1) why was the 2023 count considered "limited"? 2) Was there another count prior to 2023, and if so, do we know how many in that count? I agree with the mayor ...it just doesn't seem realistic that there would be a decline in the number of unsheltered given what seems to be a visible increase in this population, along with a dramatic increase in rent along with a decrease in truly affordable housing.
