Internet outages affect thousands

Thousands of internet and phone customers nationwide were inconvenienced Tuesday by nationwide outages by Comcast, Frontier and Integra.

The Comcast issues were blamed on technical problems.

A service map showed the Comcast problems occurred in Oregon, Washington, central California, and along the eastern seaboard, along with several locations throughout the South and Midwest.

Frontier also experienced outages in Oregon, Washington, central California, Illinois, the east coast and Florida, according to the website downdetector.com.

Both Comcast and Frontier offer internet, phone, and television services. Integra offers internet connectivity, phone and other IT services for businesses.
