Senior driving classes held

AARP Driver Safety classes will be held at the McMinnville Senior Center, Willamette Valley Medical Center and Hillside Retirement Community this fall.

The first class at the senior center, 2250 N.E. McDaniel Lane, runs from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 3 and 4. A second will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 1 and 2. Call 503-435-0407 to register.

The hospital, 2700 S.E. Stratus Ave., will host a class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. Call 503-435-6327 to register.

The class at Hillside, N.W. 300 Hillside Park Way, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 16 and 17. Call 503-274-9534 to register.

One-day classes include a lunch break.

Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Successfully completing the class may qualify drivers for an insurance discount.
