Purple and white suits Linfield College just fine.

The Linfield athletic department released a new home football uniform design Tuesday that the Wildcats will wear in their home opener on Oct. 11 against George Fox.

On its face, the uniform top is similar to any other: solid purple with white numbers and lettering. The numbers and lettering are sewn on the new uniforms, as opposed to being screen-printed like the new ones. The school’s uppercase L, located on the center of the collar, is the only change to the design.

The pants include a sewn-in belt, mesh side panels and “Wildcats” embroidered along the belt line at the back.

According to a media release, the Wildcats took team photos Monday wearing their new uniforms.
