IPNC draws crowd to Linfield

The three-day event includes programs about various grapes and wine-making techniques, dinners prepared by big-name chefs, wine tastings and other activities.

Some elements, such as winemakers’ dinners held at area wineries, will take place off-campus. Guests also will be taking tours to many of the wineries in Yamhill County.

Most of the activities are open only to those who purchased package tickets far in advance — the $975 tickets to this year’s comprehensive festival sold out months ago.

However, local residents still can buy tickets for Passport to Pinot, a food and wine even that will run from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 27, in Linfield’s Oak Grove. More than 35 winemakers will pour their vintages and discuss the nuances of Pinot noir. In additon, Northwest chefs will prepare dishes designed to accompany the wines.
