Green building speaker scheduled
Building scientist to speak Tuesday
Tyvek, Parr Lumber and the Green Building Guild of Yamhill County are teaming up to bring green building expert Mark Laliberte to Yamhill County on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Laliberte will present "Houses That Work: The Science Behind High-Performance Homes" at 6 o'clock at Red Ridge Farms, 5510 N.E. Breyman Orchards Road in Dayton. Appetizers will be served and wine tasting will be offered for a fee.
The event is open to visitors, but space is limited. RSVPs are requested to firstname.lastname@example.org.
LaLiberte helped created curriculum for the educational series Houses That Work and served as an adviser for the EPA Energy Star and DOE Building America programs. He addresses more than 8,000 builders a year through events like the JLCLive Conference and NAHB International Builders Show.
“Mark has a wealth of knowledge and experience," said Shan Stassens, a local homebuilder active in the Green Building Guild. "Listening to his talks really inspires me and our company to build the best performing homes possible.”
The Green Building Guild of Yamhill County is an association of building professionals dedicated to the promotion of green building practices.
