Salem woman cited in DUII crash
An unidentified 5-year-old passenger was transported by McMinnville Fire Department ambulance to the Willamette Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Trooper Creed Cummings of the Oregon State Police identified the driver as Misty Livone Hackworth, 36. He said she was booked on one count each of second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree assault, DUII, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person.
Hackworth was also served with an arrest warrant from Washington County for failing to appear on an earlier DUII. She was lodged in the Yamhill County Jail without bail, pending an arraignment scheduled for 1:20 this afternoon before Circuit Court Judge Cal Tichenor.
Cummings gave this account of the 11 p.m. crash:
Hackworth was southbound in a 2005 Chevrolet when she crashed into a row of bright yellow barriers near the St. Joseph overpass and ended up blocking one of the southbound lanes.
She had a blood alcohol content of .18, more than double the .08 marking the presumptive level of intoxication in Oregon.
