As far as I know, Willamette Week is still a free paper. Its available all over Portland, and people enjoy reading it. The articles have credibility and when someone is being investigated by WW, they usually give in because they know the reporters there will always get to the facts. It would be interesting to know if they are considered profitable. They don't charge for their website, either. If it is, might be something to consider locally.
