Mac Boy Scout part of delegation to D.C.

He and seven other Boy Scouts from across the nation will speak to U.S. officials during their Feb. 23-28 visit to the capital. They will discuss scouting’s achievements during 2012.

Clifton was chosen to represent Oregon and Washington at the national event. He was selected because of his leadership within Boy Scouts, at school and in the community. He has organized and helped with philanthropic events, including food drives, and has served as a peer mentor.

He and the other Scouts on the team will visit with members of the U.S. Cabinet, House and Senate, and will visit the White House, CIA, Pentagon, and Supreme Court. They will deliver the Scouting report to Speaker of the House John Boehner.
