The definition of a wild fish today seems to be the fact that they were born in the stream and therefore have no clipped fins. With the hatchery program approaching 100 years now, it is very likely that both of the parents of this "wild" fish were hatchery raised. Who's to know if there is even a small part of the wild fish genetics from 100+ years ago remaining in today's fish.
