Firefighters respond to airport for report of plane on fire

McMinnville firefighters responded to a report of a plane fire. The plane landed safely and the pilot and passenger escaped.

First reports said the cockpit was burning as the plane was preparing to land. The plane made it to the runway safely and the fire was out by the time engines arrived.
