City club to mull post-carbon future

Lerch is the lead editor and manager of the institute’s major print publications, which include a four-volume Community Resilience Guide series, a series on petroleum extraction from shale and The Post Carbon Reader. In addition, he is the author of Post Carbon Cities, a local government guidebook first published in 2007. 

The institute, based in Santa Rosa, Calif., was founded in 2003 to lead the transition to a more resilient, equitable and sustainable world. Its four primary goals are to build awareness and understanding, foster collaboration, integrate knowledge and inspire action.
