Searchers look for possible drowning victim near Dayton

Three young men were swimming, two made it to shore

Monday morning, searchers are using an airplane and a boat to search for the body of missing swimmer Anthony Jimenez. The Newberg Dive Team also is on the scene of the incident in the Willamette River near Dayton.
DAYTON -- Searchers are looking for Anthony Jimenez, 20, who didn't make it to shore while swimming in the Willamette River with friends about 5:20 p.m. Sunday. 
Jimenez, fellow McMinnville resident Derek Angel, 21, and Kevin Judson, 22, of Dayton were swimming in the river near 9000 Dorsey Road. Angel made it across the river and Judson was pulled out by friends, but Jimenez disappeared.
Judson was taken to the hospital as searchers began looking for Jimenez. Two Yamhill County Sheriff's Department boats, the Newberg Dive Rescue Team and the Dayton Fire Department responded.
