Vivian Ruth (Tatom) Lux

1928 - 2015

On May 18, 2015, Vivian fell in her home, fractured her hip and never recovered. She passed peacefully June 16, 2015, at Dallas Retirement Health Center. She was 87 years old. Vivian was born and raised in Sheridan, Oregon. She married Harry Lux April 19, 1947. She worked at the Red & White Grocery Store and Home Town Laundry in McMinnville, and for a short time at the Grand Ronde Grocery Store, but most of her life she worked right alongside Harry with his farming, logging and home building businesses.  She loved gardening, sewing and caring for her houseplants. She recently became involved with the Willamina Civic Club and enjoyed the social time and bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 1996; her parents, Guy and Lily Tatom; five  brothers; six sisters; and a stillborn son.  Survivors include sons, Wendell (Pat) and Kelly (Virginia); daughter, Kathy Orem; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Adamson’s Sheridan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  A private family burial will take place at a later date.
