Skull found northwest of McMinnville

What appears to be a partial human skull was found Saturday by a mushroom picker northwest of McMinnville, about two miles west of McGuire Reservoir, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.

The agency's Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Search and Rescue team, recovered the skull that appears to be very old and is considered incomplete. Positive human identification is pending through the state Medical Examiner's Office.
