PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the McMinnville Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the following application at their regular business meeting on January 15, 2026, which begins at 6:30 p.m., in the McMinnville Civic Hall Building at 200 NE Second Street in the City of McMinnville, Oregon. The Planning Commission meeting will also be held virtually through the Zoom meeting software. SIGN STANDARDS EXCEPTION (SE 1-25) 750 SW BOOTH BEND RD. TAX LOT R4429 02600

Applicant EMPWR c/o Sheyla Wulf-Howell, on behalf of property owner Big Step Properties, LLC, is requesting approval of an application for an exception to the sign standards of the McMinnville Zoning Ordinance. The requested exception would allow a new 300 square foot wall sign with electronic changeable copy on the south elevation of the existing building, facing Highway 18, in addition to the existing wall signage. The subject property is zoned General Industrial (M-2), located at 750 SW Booth Bend Road, Tax Lot #R4429 02600. Section 17.62.070(E) of the Zoning Ordinance provides that one electronic changeable copy sign is permitted per site and shall only be allowed as part of a permanent sign. The electronic changeable copy portion of the sign may not exceed 24 square feet in area. In addition, the electronic changeable copy portion of a sign will have its area calculated at a rate of two times that of other signs. Section 17.62.050 of the Zoning Ordinance provides that video signs, a type of electronic copy sign, are prohibited. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Persons are invited to attend the Planning Commission public hearing to observe the proceeding or to register any statements in person or by mail that might assist the Planning Commission in making a decision. Testimony can be provided at the meeting in person or via teleconference or submitted in writing before the meeting. Proposals will be received at the offices of MW&L, 855 NE Marsh Lane, P.O. Box 638, McMinnville, OR 97128 for professional financial auditing services. The audit shall including analysis of financial statements, business operations and internal controls of McMinnville Water & Light. The term of the agreement is for three years with possible two 1-year extensions (maximum contract term is five years). Proposers must meet the following three Minimum Qualifications to be considered for award: 1. Principal Auditor is a Certified Public Accountant 2. Principal Auditor is a licensed Oregon Municipal Auditor 3. Auditors are free of conflict of interest to perform audit
