It seems it would be good to build affordable housing high rises along 1st and 2nd downtown where the parking lots are. It would be a good use of space. Most low income don’t have vehicles so parking wouldn’t be an issue and it would be close to the transit station. Perhaps build parking underground beneath the high rises and have shops at street level. Then you’d have three streets of “Main Street” instead of one and lots of availability living units with easy walking to bus station.
