Christmas has Talons

This shows that state funded brainwashing works wonders. Poor kids aren't taught to think for themselves anymore.

Nor are these students given 'all the available information and evidence' that might cause them to question the claim of a 'climate crisis'.

Don. The investment firm Blackrock starts moving its 7 Trillion dollar portfolio because of the investment risks involved with climate change on the assumption we humans are having some influence they are looking at all of the evidence. What do you think they are telling the companies they invest money in? Where are they taking money away from and where are the reinvesting? They are looking 50 to 100 years down the road. A road these kids you think so little of will be traveling.

Yawn!

msantone -- how does Blackrock's 'move' become a reason to limit the curriculum? You are aware that last summer the Obama's bought beachfront property in Martha's Vineyard? Do these actions cancel one another?

Obviously, any faith in the climate modeling 50-100 years 'down the road' would be highly speculative, simply based on the past predictions that didn't occur.

At some point, the realization that the hype is to create fear and compliance, so taxes can be collected. Just how will taxing carbon cause the climate to settle down?

msantone

Don. 7 Trillion dollars can say a lot. True investment is risky thus those who invest consider risk. You pointing what some former president did is just silly. Those 7 Trillion will help shape our future. They are taking the current assessments of risk seriously and putting their money where their mouth is. And yeah maybe they are wrong, a big bet, the wheel spins, where it lands no one knows.

Don Dix

msantone -- So pointing out Obama's beachfront purchase (in light of the 'rising sea level' predictions) is silly, even though Barack is an AGW believer -- interesting. And Al Gore's 10K sq.ft. house in Tennessee still uses 21 times the energy of the average home, even though he added 33 solar panels (he presumably lives there alone). Both have stated AGW must be curtailed by everyone reducing their carbon footprints. Can you see the total hypocrisy here? Not my idea of 'leaders'!

And I don't think 'little of these students' -- I think little of their education that only offers only one side of the equation. Instead of constantly pounding everything AGW into their heads, why not present all the related evidence (Romans, MWP, Little Ice Age, ice core readings, failed predictions, etc.) )? You know, freedom of thought. A strictly narrow approach to any subject produces strictly narrow conclusions.

You wrote --' And yeah maybe they are wrong, a big bet, the wheel spins, where it lands no one knows.' Yeah, let's go all in on a 'no one knows' -- that's more than just silly!

While the state of Oregon tries yet again to pass their nonsensical 'climate change' bill - basically a massive tax increase with little to no net benefit on global CO2 - the president actually did something useful (see link below) by joining the global one trillion tree initiative to recapture CO2. For some reason the media seems unable widely report the positive things he does as it received scant attention.

I have a new idea for you children, get a job, pay taxes, learn both points of view on so called “ climate change “ and then you can show up at city hall and complain. Somebody needs to fire the teacher at the high school for indoctrinating our children with one side of a controversial issue.
