Lawmakers target ‘pet rent’ -- The solution for landlords would be to just not consider those who own pets. The legislature must not be aware how much damage pets can do to both the inside and outside the rental unit, but then, the legislature being 'not aware' is nothing new.

Ban on wildlife killing contests -- From the article -- 'such contests don’t result in less livestock depredation or in increased deer population'.

Fewer coyotes hunting and killing livestock or game animals (or even pets) in a specific area would also effect the numbers lost. If you can't do the math, ask those affected by coyote killings, instead of making such a brainless statement.
