I have had a problem with these "displays of art(?)" there on Third Street over the years, as they pose a bit of a traffic problem. How so? Because traversing Third Street is a dangerous proposition without distractions, as McMinnvillites are prone to dart out into the traffic from hidden points of view and while I do drive only 20-25 mph, a quick glimpse of one of these attractions can lead one to conclude it is a human entering into traffic! I've been fooled before and I am sure others have too.

So please craft your lovely creations, but keep them back from the curb and away from corners where in the limited light of dusk they can suddenly seem to jump out at you.

Safety first! Then have fun....
