What was the result of the motion? Weren't these issues ruled on during trial and if not shouldn't they have been brought up at that time?

Rosebloomer, yes, some of these objections were brought up during the trial. In some instances, the defense and prosecution agreed to allow the judge to consider them and issue a ruling later.
