Interesting to note the Rep Anna Scharf voted against this (good job), but Lucetta Elmer, who I usually agree with, voted in favor. I wonder why?

It's also a great opportunity for the Methodist Church to create their own 4 story religious data center in that same spot.

Has anyone asked the church why they are letting their developer build less than ideal housing in such an ugly building? Is the "love of money" the root of this fiasco.

Sandy, the Methodist Church (I think the minister) testified at the hearing that they needed the money. Like everyone, he was OK with affordable apartments. But seemed to semi apologize for the size and damage opponents were arguing against.

There was an ad in the Aug 14 NR about the impact of the proposed apartment building on parking, traffic and safety. There is a city council meeting on Aug 25, which the public can attend to show support. Would there be any benefit to you collecting a list of names of people sharing your position, as a way of showing the city council we all agree with your position?
