The problem in the picture is that there aren't collar ties or rafter ties on the rafters. That is why the "shop building is starting to come apart, causing the roof to sag". That is basic construction and should have been done 40 years ago. No building inspector would approve of that construction. Oh well, more money for a new building. Easy come, easy go.
