Just wondering: how much each letter writer was paid!

TTT

Well Drew1951 I wonder how much Commissioner Berschauer will gain in campaign donations by pushing this agenda rather than addressing actual county business for the people. This is why she's paid a county salary. This isn't a volunteer position...

You can just feel the DA and the Sheriff's pain in dealing with these weirdos.

This is what happens when there is a void - chaos fill it. Yamhill County has had a lack of solid leadership in government positions for years. That empty space gets filled with absolute chaos.

I'm all for gun rights, but this isn't the way to protect them.

Jean

Didn't the commissioners all take an oath to uphold the Oregon state constitution? Sorry, but you don't get to pick and choose which state laws you don't feel like enforcing. If you break your oath you need to resign...pronto. Then you are free to run for a seat in the state legislature to make new laws or change existing ones. Otherwise, quit this crap and get on with the county's business.

So much time & energy spent solving a problem that doesn’t exist......

What a bunch of BS! A total waste of time.

What Berry said: In addition, Berry said, the county has not prosecuted anyone for carrying a concealed weapon into a public building since at least 2010.

“I want to be sure you guys don’t create a solution that doesn’t have a problem,” he told the commissioners. “We have not had this issue come up before; I think that’s important for you to understand.”

When the commissioners were debating the trail, remember Mary saying the 100+ letters in support of the trail they received didn’t mean a lot because she thought it was a Facebook campaign? I along with a number of friends wrote one of those letters and I have never or ever will be part of facebook! Why does she brag about receiving 1000 letters of support for her SASCO ? Why only 27 from actual county residents? Thank-you Kevin for getting a bunch of your supporters to try to help Mary. When will Mary and Lindsay put Yamhill County people first? What a complete waste of time and our money our BS commissioner pair is!

There is no "but" after "I'm all for gun rights."

Rumpelstilzchen

This is not at all about gun rights, it is about gun laws, specifically about hypothetical future laws that don’t even exist yet, as Berschauer herself is admitting.

And anybody who has a problem with the concept of gun laws should probably move to a country that does not have a Constitution.

IMO, The graft and corruption has reached new levels at the County. Special interest money and quid pro quo have reached all time highs. We are the laughing stock of the state. Voters need to wake up, fast!

Shasta

Westsider Trail funds to be paid back....phony feel good gun ordinance that puts the county at risk....what a waste of time and tax payers dollars.
This is what is looks like when you have two clowns in government that have no clue how government works.
EMSB, I couldn’t agree more, the laughing stock of the state!

This sums up our current county commission to a T. "The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt." -Bertrand Russell

I see a lot of complaining here and elsewhere about the 2 commissioners. But I don't see any solution being offered. How do we recruit more civic-minded folks and get them elected?
