Sure ... Oregon has one of the worst graduation rates in the country, so, by all means, let's further enrich those responsible for these failures!

I'm once again eager to hear how this tax 'is for the kids' (redundant redundancy). Does anyone really believe that BS? It's all about entitlements, raises, and perks!

I agree. The union's first priority is to the membership. They do their best to disguise that reality, but sometimes it works on lethargic voters.

As far as "those responsible", there is a lot of finger pointing in many directions. Clearly our leadership in Oregon education system has failed us by being completely aligned with OEA.

kona -- one will never find anyone in the business of education that would fess up and declare responsibility for any poor results or program failures, which are commonplace every year.

The propaganda of this election will 'promise' all sorts of grandiose possibilities, none of which will transpire. But everyone in education will benefit in some way ... except the 'poster children'.

Remember, if there is an election upcoming, you are probably about to be exposed to all sorts of fabrications, deceit, or flat out lies. Unfortunately, when the messenger is insensible to disgrace, any means to further the cause is available, and will be implemented.

If the history of ed spending is any example (and it clearly is), more money won't work. But by all means, let's try again, since that has always been the ONLY solution! Shameless, at best!
