Christmas has Talons

In one ear and out the other......Business as usual.

“Cheerleaders of staff and students” was one quote from this article that tickled me. I go to 40 to 50 girls and boys sporting events per year. I see a school board member or the superintendent at about 1 out of 25 of those events. Don’t see much cheerleading going on from my view. They graduate 91% of their students. Great number but how many of that number are ready to go out in the work force and go to work. It’s all about test scores and graduation rates in this district but not much thought on how students do after they are gone.

Jim,

Thank you for caring enough to attend those games and you don't even have union benefits for doing it! I guess genuine caring comes across a little differently than caring about getting paid.

All parents and parents of student athletes should attend these meetings, it's quite eye opening....
