And all of this just so some kids can go into debt that will take years to pay off...

Linfield University

Student loans are a fair concern, Hibb. Thank you for the comment. Please know that we work hard trying to make sure students don't get too far into debt.

It's worth noting, also, that a bachelor’s degree is worth $2.8 million on average over a lifetime. Bachelor’s degree holders earn 84 percent more than those with a high school diploma. So as far as debt goes, student loans are probably the best debt a person will ever receive. Still, the burden is real and we recognize that.

Thank you.

What's the plan for when temperatures drop and the rain starts? The last time we had sun through the end of October was 2006. Those tents are lovely but they don't look waterproof.

Linfield University

Good question, Bonnybedlam. The tents have floors, heating, technology and sides and doors that lock. If and when it's raining sideways, students will still get wet coming and coming from classes. But the tents themselves should be okay. (Fingers crossed.)

Linfield University: These days getting a "bachelor's degree" is but one step in the process that has our kids asking the most important question of their lives: "Do you want fries with that?!"
