But now we have a dope peddler as a County Commissioner because apparently Yamhill County needs more dopes selling and using dope.

actionjax, This is No different than someone who is drunk and causing a deadly accident. Shouldn't matter how the idiot got that way, but the fact that they drove inebriated, caused an accident, and killed someone. Alcohol was illegal back in the day and people still drive drunk.

Whether or not she was "intoxicated" at the time of the accident, based on having smoked 2 hours before, is impossible to determine. It would depend on how much she smoked, exactly *what* she smoked (flower from a pipe, shake/leaf joint, seeds'n'stems, w/wo hash), whether she ate afterward, ect. Failing to negotiate a curve is the kind of thing that happens for any reason or none, and I really hope the judgment rests on facts rather than politics and prejudice.

Coco

Ditto what bonnybedlam said.

Well said bonnybedlam

Fact is: this women killed someone who was deeply loved by many. To top that off, she had her children in the vehicle. I'd rather see positive articles about the life that she stoled when she made the fateful decision to drive, rather than any support for her mistakes.

Would you want someone who was a liquor store owner as a County Commissioner? I sure wouldn't I want people who contribute to society in a positive way leading local government not those who add to it's detriment. And once again the old alcohol vs. pot argument misses the point.

Stella

Correct me if I'm wrong - but 2 of our 3 Yamhill County Commissioners have some sort of "pot license"... not one. "In the heart of pot country"
