July 4th events planned throughout Yamhill Valley

A fireworks show will return to McMinnville on Saturday evening. Celebratory activities will start at 4 p.m. on the Evergreen museum property.

The event will feature music, food and souvenir booths, along with free museum admission. A program honoring veterans is set for 9 p.m., with the fireworks to follow at nightfall.

Shuttles will be available to take people to the museum. They can catch shuttles Saturday afternoon and evening at McMinnville City Hall, Wilco Farm Stores or Chemeketa Community College’s Yamhill Valley Campus.

In Lafayette, a children’s parade will wind through town, starting at 11 a.m. Afterward, residents will gather at Joel Perkins Park for a picnic and music.

Willamina’s Old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration will continue all day.

A parade will move through town at 6 p.m. At nightfall, fireworks will light the skies over the old high school.
