Giving Trees : The annual Giving Tree campaign will place tags on trees at many locations, including Sunrise Church, Cornerstone Coffee Roasters and Citizens Bank. To participate, purchase a gift card of any amount and return it to the tree by Monday, Dec. 21. Cards will benefit three nonprofits: See Ya Later, A Family Place and Give a Little Foundation. Toys & Joy : The Newberg Fire Department is collecting monetary donations and new, unwrapped items for Newberg and Dundee children who would not otherwise receive gifts for Christmas. For more information, call 503-537-1230, Option 2.


Toys for Kids : The Sheriff’s Office will collect unwrapped gifts during its annual Christmas giving program. Bring donations of unwrapped toys, gift cards, cash, new coats or blankets by Monday, Dec. 12, to a local drop box or the Sheriff’s Office in the Yamhill County Courthouse, 535 N.E. Fifth St., McMinnville. Gifts will be delivered by Sheriff’s deputies and volunteers during Christmas week. For more information, call 503-434-7506 or e-mail sheriff@co.yamhill.or.us.


Amity Tree of Giving : Amity Volunteer Firefighters together with the Salvation Army and First Federal will have a tree of giving at First Federal, 110 Maddox Ave., Amity, beginning Monday, Nov. 30. To participate, select a tag from the tree and return the unwrapped gift to the tree by Friday, Dec. 18. For more information, call 503-835-2311.


Henderson House holiday wish list : Henderson House is collecting unwrapped gifts for all ages, including teens, gift cards, pillows, diapers, non-perishable food for the shelter, meat, and cleaning and laundry supplies. Henderson House also has an account set up with the store New To You, 238 N. Highway 99W, McMinnville, where clothes can be donated. Blankets & books : First Federal and YCAP are collecting donations of new and slightly used blankets and children’s books. Donations can be dropped off at each of First Federal’s branch locations from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15. For more information, call 503-435-3214 or email pwatts@firstfedweb.com.


Military gift boxes : The Ladies of Auxiliary Unit #21 is accepting donations for holiday gift boxes to help military families with Christmas. They are accepting canned food and non perishable food items, new unwrapped toys and games and new clothing items for children up to age 13. Donation can be dropped off at American Legion Post #21, 126 N.E. Atlantic St., McMinnville and the deadline is Dec. 16. For more information, call 503-435-2218.
