FEBRUARY:

McMinnville Mayor's Charity Ball: Each year McMinnville's Mayor hosts the Mayor’s Charity Ball – a fundraiser to benefit Kids on the Block.

 

MARCH:    

SIP! McMinnville Wine & Food Classic: Sip! McMinnville Wine & Food Classic was established in 1993 as both a fun event for wine and food enthusiasts and a benefit for the children of St. James School.

 

APRIL:    

Farm Fest: Experience old-time farming history as 20 teams of draft horses and mules work the ground and compete in a plowing competition. Also enjoy horseshoeing, blacksmith and sawmill demonstrations, along with agricultural and historical displays, kids’ activities, food, music and more!

Newberg Camellia Festival: The Newberg Camellia Festival, now in its ninth year, offers an exploration of Asian / Pacific Rim cultures through art, food, performances and horticulture.

 

MAY:

UFO Festival: Our 18th Annual UFO Festival lands on May 18, 2017 in McMinnville.

Memorial Day Wine Tasting Weekend: Join us for one of the region's longest-running events where more than 150 wineries and tasting rooms will host special events, capping off the state-wide celebration of Oregon Wine Month.

Memorial Weekend Boat Races: The Annual Memorial Weekend Boat Races, are held each year at Rogers Landing in Newberg. A two day event with sanctioned heat racing of stock outboards and Outboard Performance Craft.

 

JUNE:

Sheridan Days: Join us for an activity filled weekend of family style fun.

Carlton Fun Days: Parade, Vendors, Food booths, free games for kids. Free swim. Grad Night silent auction.
Memorial run kicks off Saturday's events. Live music both evenings.

Summer Garden Tour & Faire: The Garden Faire is a “no admission” destination event held in conjunction with the McMinnville Garden Club's Annual Garden Tour and is located in historic downtown McMinnville.

 

JULY:

Willamina Old-Fashioned Forth of July: There promises to be plenty of snap, crackle and pop in the air during Willamina’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration. A Community barbecue kicks off a full day of community events with a huge fireworks display to end the day.

Celebrate in Mac: July 4th Spectacular: A big party for July 4th here in McMinnville at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. There will be a huge community-gathering place for festival favorite food items for sale, merchant booths, and community program booths, family fun entertainment booths, and main stage. 

St. Paul Rodeo: The St. Paul Rodeo will continue to bring a slice of the old West to the north Willamette Valley each 4th of July weekend and to give those who attend a look at one of the nation's finest professional rodeos and some of the most exciting and colorful entertainment offered anywhere.

Turkey Rama: Our beloved tradition! Turkey Rama is one of McMinnville's oldest and most loved traditions. The community festival observes the historical importance of the once-thriving turkey industry in the surrounding county. The turkey farms are gone, but the Turkey Rama lives on!

Willamette Valley Lavendar Festival: The finest celebration of Lavender & Art! The one place where all things lavender blend with the premier art show or original work painted in the lavender fields of Oregon.

Yamhill Derby Days: Annual City of Yamhill festival and parade.

Amity Pancake Breakfast: Come and enjoy yummy pancakes, ham, eggs, juice & coffee! There will also be square dancing and as always the Antique Car Show!.

Fueled by Fine Wine Half Marathon: The entirely new class of running events takes place in Oregon’s Dundee Hills AVA wine region.This event sets itself apart by exploring some of the most magnificent vineyard vistas in Oregon, as well as by working with local Dundee charities and Oregon sponsors creating an exciting event for the region while also supporting the local economy.

Wildwood MusicFest: A self-sustaining annual event showcasing emerging artists, promoting local food and agriculture, featuring regional micro beers and wine, providing tons of free activities for kids and having a great time all the while being careful to the environment.

Newberg Old-Fashioned Festival: This annual festival is held the last full weekend in July in Newberg. Parade, fireworks, car show & cruise in, live music, food, carnival rides and midway, booths, children's parade, festival court and more. Enjoy this community celebration!

International Pinot Noir Celebration: The International Pinot Noir Celebration is held the last full weekend of July in McMinnville. The event offers Pinot noir consumers and industry members the chance to enjoy an unparalleled selection of Pinot Noir from around the world via a full schedule of seminars, walkaround tastings, winery tours, and unforgettable meals prepared by top Northwest chefs.

Dayton Chicken Barbecue and Old Timers Weekend: Celebrate old friendships and new at the Old Timers Weekend, typically held on the last weekend (including Sunday) of July. Held in Dayton’s Courthouse Square Park, this annual celebration began in 1934 as a town potluck and has continued through the years to become a time of celebration and family and class reunions.

Yamhill County Fair & Rodeo: The oldest running fair in Oregon. 

 

AUGUST:

Valley View Air Show: Come enjoy a day of fun and family at the Valley View 2015 Air Show! Enjoy breakfast, hot air balloons, RC aircrafts, FREE horse & wagon rides, Kid's Village activities, BBQ lunch and dinner, live music, and more! 

Grand Ronde Pow Wow: The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Contest Powwow is held at Uyxat Powwow Grounds.

Loose Goose Balloon Rally: Get your camera ready for the Fifth Annual Loose Goose Balloon Rally. We will have hot air balloons, music and much more.

Harvest Fest: Learn how farmers harvested their crops in the past as antique farm equipment and draft animals harvest the oat crop. View the blacksmith and sawmill shops in action, tap your toes to old-time music, have the kids participate in “pioneer” activities, view the agricultural & historical displays, tour the museum, enjoy home-cooked food, and enjoy a great day for all ages. 

Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon: Hosted in Yamhill County in the heart of the Willamette Valley, participants rave about the small-town charm, incredible sunrise views, scenic course, great wines, and post-race Wine & Music Festival, presented by Ken Wright Cellars.

Walnut City Music Festival: A two-day music festival on the grounds of The Granary District in downtown McMinnville, Oregon featuring Northwest artists.

Dragging the Gutt in McMinnville: The Dragging the Gut Festival is a three day event held each year on the fourth weekend of August in Historic Downtown McMinnville. The festival gives participants the chance to relive the classic car cruising on the main street that took place for decades in small towns.

 

SEPTEMBER:

Oregon Brews & BBQs: Oregon Brews and BBQ is all about Great Food, Great Regional Brews, & A Whole Lot of FUN!! This is a fundraising event for St. James Catholic School & GhanaHope Foundation. Located in the heart of  McMinnville we have over 18,000 square feet of tent, 50+ taps serving craft beer from 35+ breweries for your enjoyment throughout the weekend, delicious barbecue and other food delights, as well as live music. It is a time to get together and have a good time. 

 

Carlton Crush Harvest Festival: A Full-Day Celebration featuring a Grape Stomp Competition, Kids' Watermelon Eating Contest, live music and entertainment, and an Artists' Market. Enjoy terrific food from a variety of restaurants, and of course fine wines and craft beers from wineries and breweries throughout the area.

 

OCTOBER:

Safe and Sane Halloween on Third Street: Join in the fun n NE 3rd Street in McMinnville with hay rides, fun and games, Halloween Photos at the News Register, Cartoons at the Moonlight Theater and more! 

 

NOVEMBER:

Thanksgiving Wine Tasting Weekend: A festive weekend of tasting, delectable food, music and more awaits you throughout Oregon Wine Country.

Santa's Parade, Caroling and Tree-Lighting: Start the holiday off right with Santa's Parade in downtown McMinnville! Bring your family downtown to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with an old fashioned holiday starlight parade kicking off at 4:30 PM and the annual tree lighting will follow immediately after. Come early for holiday shopping and dining in our wonderful restaurants.

 

DECEMBER: 

Wine Country Tour of Homes: Tour elegantly appointed and uniquely decorated homes in beautiful wine country.
