After months of hard work on behalf of their charities, McMinnville's four Biggest Turkey candidates have just one day to strut their stuff before the winner is announced.

The top fundraiser will be crowned Friday, July 12, following the humorous lip sync contest at Turkey Rama. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. on the Turkey Rama main stage at Third and Evans.

Don't miss the lip sync contest! It's always hilarious, a real highlight of Turkey Rama. And it's for a good cause -- or, this year, four good causes that will help animals, victims of domestic violence and children and adults with life-threatening illnesses.

The candidates are:

* Jeff Yates, a 911 dispatcher, representing the See Ya Later Foundation.

* Dawn Vyette Witt, representing Homeward Bound Pets, where she serves as executive director of the adoption shelter and thrift shop.

* Dr. Derek Rains, an orthopedic surgeon, representing the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation.

* Sandy Haw, representing Henderson House, where she works as a family advocate and shelter manager.

Money raised in the contest will be split between the four charitable organizations.
